I heart my babysitter

Todd and I went to our friends' house last night to eat pizza and watch The Aristocrats* on DVD. So a babysitter--a young woman who works at Kate's daycare--came to our house to watch our girls *and* our friends' two boys.
Lauren, the babysitter, called me beforehand to ask if she could make Valentine's cookies with the kids. I said yes, of course. She said she'd bring all the ingredients. I figured that meant a couple tubes of slice-and-bake dough.
But she arrived with flour, powdered sugar, butter, cookie cutters, vanilla, sprinkles...the works. When I told her I had a can of frosting in the pantry, she said, "Oh, that's okay; we'll make our own."
We came home at midnight to a huge plate of THE most delicious frosted sugar cookies ever. (The picture shows all that's left now!)
Plus: Four kids under the age of 7 had helped Lauren make the dough, roll out the dough, whisk the frosting ingredients, etc., and yet...
...the kitchen was spotless!
Wow.
I heart Lauren.
(*I was underwhelmed by the movie. I'd heard that it was the raunchiest, most vile, most hilarious thing ever. Yet, even with quite a bit of wine in my system, I didn't really laugh that hard. I was disappointed, in fact.)

For the longest time I thought the Aristocrats was that Disney flick, "The Aristocats", still haven't seen it, so I'm glad to know I'm not missing much.
Lauren sounds like a treasure. I bet the kids loved her.
